In league history, the Majors division champion with the lowest winning percentage was the 1986 Cubs, who finished the regular season 11-9. After a crash to last place in the first half season, and a stumbling 2-2 start in the 2nd half, the team won nine straight.
Danny Coen (11) hit a first-inning-first-pitch-leadoff home run against the Giants to start the streak. He finished the run by pitching a no-hitter into the 6th inning of the Championship playoff game. . Danny Coen lead off home run

The kids continued to excel. In 1996, Tammy played professional baseball with the all women Colorado Silver Bullets, and David graduated from UC San Diego. In 1997, Daniel graduated from UC San Diego. Kweli graduated from Harvard and won the Rhodes scholarship. In 1998, Kamau graduated from UCLA.
