HISTORY & COMMUNITY
Berkeley-Albany Little League (BALL) has been proudly serving our local community since 1956. What began as a small baseball program for 10- to 12-year-old boys with just four teams has grown into one of the Bay Area’s most respected youth baseball organizations.
Today, BALL welcomes more than 800 players each season, with boys and girls ages 5 to 14 participating across 60+ teams. Our league continues to grow while staying true to its roots—community, sportsmanship, and a love for the game.
BALL is more than baseball. It’s a place where kids:
- Learn and develop baseball skills
- Build confidence and character
- Make lasting friendships
- Have fun in a positive, supportive environment
We are proud to be recognized as one of the top community baseball programs in the Bay Area, striking a thoughtful balance between player development and healthy competition at every level.
Berkeley Albany Little League serves families who live in Albany, Berkeley, El Cerrito, and Kensington, and is powered entirely by dedicated volunteers, coaches, and families who care deeply about youth sports.
Non-Profit Organization
Berkeley-Albany Little League is incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All contributions and donations to the league are tax-deductible and directly support our mission of providing a high-quality, accessible baseball experience for local youth.
