Expo Day/Tryouts

👉 2026 EXPO Volunteer: Sign-up & Register for shift

Expo Day – January 24–25

Expo Day is a critical part of our season setup and gives Berkeley Albany Little League coaches the opportunity to evaluate players so divisions and teams can be formed as fairly and evenly as possible.

League Age Reminder (Please Read Carefully)

A player’s Little League age is determined by their age as of August 31, 2026.

  • Expo Day is mandatory for players with LL ages 10–14
  • LL-9 players may opt in to attend if they wish to be considered for the AAA Division draft

Player Evaluations for LL-8s & LL-9s

Players with LL ages 8 and 9 are asked to attend player evaluations on Sunday, January 25. These evaluations help assess skill level for placement in the Single A and AA Divisions.

Players who are unable to attend will be placed at the League’s discretion.

Event Details

Players will be assigned to a cohort and rotate through fundamental drills including:

  1. Hitting
  2. Throwing

  4. Running

The full process takes approximately 60 minutes, including check-in and warm-ups

Cohort assignments and detailed instructions will be emailed on January 19, including guidance for resolving any scheduling conflicts.

Weather & Flexibility

January weather can be unpredictable. In the case of light rain, Expo Day will proceed as planned. If conditions are unsafe, we may need to adjust plans—thank you in advance for your flexibility.

Volunteers Needed

Expo Day is a large logistical effort and essential to the success of the season. We welcome and appreciate volunteers to help on the day-of. There are many roles available, and no baseball experience is required.
