After an exciting double-elimination playoff tournament, the Pirates have been crowned the 2026 Berkeley Albany Little League Majors Champions!

The road to the title was anything but easy. The Pirates opened the playoffs with a strong 10-0 victory over the Giants before advancing through the winners’ bracket and defeating the Cubs 7-6 in a thrilling semifinal matchup.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals battled through the consolation bracket, defeating the Giants, Rockies, and Cubs to earn a spot in the Championship Series.

Championship Series

Game 1 – Cardinals 3 vs. Pirates 2

With the Cardinals handing the Pirates their first playoff loss, the championship would be decided in a winner-take-all Game 2.

Game 2 – Pirates 9 vs. Cardinals 1

The Pirates responded in championship fashion, putting together a complete team effort to secure the Majors Playoff Championship.

Congratulations to the Pirates players, coaches, and families on an outstanding season and playoff run!

A special congratulations as well to the Cardinals for an incredible postseason journey through the elimination bracket and to all teams who competed in this year’s playoffs.
